SCOTT R. BANCROFT
As a registered architect specializing in the technical aspects of a project, Scott’s driving concern for accurate detailing and economically feasible solutions make him an integral component of the H&A team. Working under the guidance of the Principal-In-Charge of Operations, he manages multiple projects simultaneously and coordinates the efforts of staff and of all retained consultants to ensure on-time and on-budget development of his projects. In his off time, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife as well as woodworking, fly-fishing, and restoring classic British sports cars.
DAVID M. M. FISKE
TECHNICAL / HISTORIC ARCHITECT & CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATOR
David is a well-rounded technical architect whose specialty is managing difficult renovation projects. He is highly adept at problem-solving, value engineering, and product review and analysis which ensures his role as a key advisor on H&A’s more challenging renovation projects. In his free time David volunteers as a coach for both his son and daughter’s sports teams and he is on the Board of Trustees at his church.
GEMA M. GRAY
ARCHITECTURAL TEAM ADMINISTRATOR
Gema supports the architectural team in the efficient and well-organized generation, maintenance and/or fulfillment of the non-technical administrative aspects of a project. Her strong work ethic and goal-oriented abilities facilitate accurate behind-the-scenes organization of project data. Gema’s family and friends are key components to her off-work activities and she is an avid volunteer within the schools.
CATHOLIC CULTURE ADVISOR / ARCHITECTURAL TEAM MEMBER
Michael is a passionate advocate for the advancement of Catholic Schools and serves as our advisor on applicable projects. As a product of Catholic Schools himself, his first path lead him to teaching and youth ministry. Now, he’s enrolled at Boston Architectural College learning to utilize his knowledge of the Catholic School environment to cultivate progressive methods for these schools. When Michael is not in the office he can be found ministering to parish youth, caring for sheep, playing soccer or woodworking.
STEVEN C. HABEEB
AIA, LEED AP, MCPPO, CPTED, A4LE
PRESIDENT & PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT
As H&A founder and President, Steve sets long-range direction, goals, and guides the overall operation of the firm. He is the lead designer for the firm and functions as project manager for several project types. He has received numerous endorsements for his outstanding designs, and the professionalism and ease of working with his team. Steve frequently serves as a thesis advisor and a member of the Honors and Awards committee at the Boston Architectural College. He’s also a Rotarian, a “Life Guard” within the Life Teen Program at his church, a Sunday School teacher, and sits on the Church Parish Council and Board of Directors at Archbishop Williams High School.
JOHN L. HUNT
With a strong technical background in Revit and AutoCad, and with advancing project management capabilities, John provides oversight of, and participates in the generation of architectural detailing and deliverables for projects ranging from $100K to $30M in the educational, state/municipal and retail arenas. He coaches junior team members and guides them as needed in the generation of quality projects and in the development of their career.
As a custom woodworking craftsman, John is sought for home renovation projects and spends much of his free time enjoying friends and family while working on their home projects, as well as his own. He also enjoys hitting the links and spending quality time with his wife.
AIA, LEED AP
A registered architect with 20 years of experience in varying project types including: single and multi-family residential, industrial, religious, water resources, aviation, education, and municipal sectors. Eric’s experience extends from pre-design through construction phase services. He earned both Bachelor and Master’s degrees in architecture from the University of Buffalo and has taught construction technology courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He expertly manages the needs of numerous project stakeholders, coordinates all disciplines and leads the design team in an efficient, communicative and well-coordinated manner. Eric likes to spend time off with his wife and their dog Fergus, taking care of their 220 year-old antique home.
ELIZABETH P. LEWIS
P.E., SECB, LEED GREEN ASSOCIATE, MCPPO
PROJECT MANAGER / STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
As a Project Manager with 30 years of experience, Elizabeth is directly responsible for allocating resources to ensure that her assigned projects flow smoothly. She is known for producing successful projects, as measured by client satisfaction and the quality of work. Elizabeth is also a registered Structural Engineer with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and holds a host of registrations and certifications in addition to belonging to several professional societies. She volunteers in her hometown on the Permanent Building Committee and is Chair of the School Building Committee. Elizabeth has four children; one in high school, and the other three attending college.
TAMARA L. MACUCH
HUMAN / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
With a 25-year background combining business, strategic planning, marketing, design, and educational planning, Tamara brings a wide variety of professional skills and experience to the firm. She plays an integral role in developing and carrying out the long-range strategic plan of the firm while encouraging professional development of staff, and directing business development for all the firm’s target markets. Outside the office, she enjoys biking and volunteer activities.
ARCHITECTURAL TEAM MEMBER / UAV PILOT
As an FAA-licensed UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) pilot, and an expert Revit operator, Kevin has many roles that support our clients’ project. As pilot, he conducts forensic evaluations of building envelope systems, including infrared analysis. When not piloting, he works in conjunction with the firm’s project managers and job captains to produce the Revit and AutoCAD documents needed for any phase of an architectural project. In his personal time, Kevin enjoys running, coaching his daughter’s basketball team and spending time with his family.
KAREN M. O’BRIEN
As executive assistant to the President, Karen expertly facilitates organizational operations of a non-technical nature. She analyzes the resource allocation of a project, assuring appropriate time is being spent on those projects. Her organizational and communication skills are a great asset to the President in managing schedules and records. Family, fun, traveling, and fitness consume Karen’s free time. She’s an avid runner who frequently participates in marathons.
As Job Captain, James is the key connection between Project Managers and Drafters on large-scale jobs, and adeptly manages his own small-scale projects. Having worked in AutoCAD and/or Revit for 17+ years, he brings a solid background to any design project and consistently produces accurately detailed documents prior to deadline. James is also a competent Construction Administrator. In his free time he is devoted to his two small children, enjoys fishing, and the outdoors.
JEFFREY M. PULEO
AIA, LEED AP
PRINCIPAL-IN-CHARGE OF OPERATIONS
Jeff has more than 25 years of architectural experience with a focus on lab design and programming. He manages teams with diverse professional and technical skills while competently delivering on-schedule, on-budget projects of a broad range. His various project types have included designing labs for research buildings within academic institutions and biopharma, some with specialized animal facilities. Outside the office, Jeff plays softball and basketball, and likes to go fishing, hiking and camping with his two sons.
MARION B. ROOSA
Marion conceives and oversees implementation of H&A marketing initiatives. She designs integrated marketing plans using traditional and digital communications and prepares our qualification packages and proposals. A talented website developer, she maintains and updates the corporate website. She is a nature lover who spends time with her family traveling, camping, hiking, kayaking and snowboarding.
JACK D. SHEA, M.Ed.
CERTIFIED EDUCATIONAL PLANNER
Jack’s 35 years of experience as a school Principal and teacher, and his ability to develop successful working relationships within the school community – administrators, faculty, parents, students, and alumni – are invaluable resources. His communication and organizational abilities ensure a thorough, efficient process for clients engaging in a multi-faceted review of their facility. Jack is passionate about advancing STEM education, is an avid world traveler, photographer and gardener, and recently became a Board Member of the Association of Catholic Advancement and Admissions Professionals (ACAAP).
Kate provides excellent customer service to clients and guests. She facilitates the smooth operation of the non-technical aspects of the business consisting of reception, office administration and clerical support. She is efficient and well-organized, assisting the President, marketing department, and all staff members in administration of the firm. Kate’s extensive depth of experience and highly professional work history allow her to step in wherever needed. Kate enjoys traveling and all things outdoors but especially hiking, biking and gardening.
