When Quincy College sought to move its satellite campus in Plymouth from downtown to a historic building in the Cordage Commerce Center, they retained Habeeb & Associates Architects. We provided consulting and design services for the adaptive reuse of a former rope-making factory that was built in 1824. The repurposed facility holds 12 beautiful lecture-style classrooms, a nursing lab, 2 computer labs, faculty offices, and a library. High ceilings, tall windows, and refurbished original flooring are featured throughout the spaces at the new Plymouth campus.

The Saville Hall renovation project in Quincy involved the creation of the spaces needed for the science program, including 3 new labs, a bio-technology center, and complimentary support spaces. The project included an energy recovery system for conservation and a chemical neutralization system for environmental protection. We also designed a computer lab, photography space and darkroom, additional lecture-style classrooms, and support spaces including prep rooms, an open faculty workroom and several administrative offices.
