The Hingham District Court project began as a study for the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) to investigate replacement of the existing roofing systems and provide recommendations for solutions with associated estimated construction costs.
H&A was then tasked to design two different roof replacements for the historic 1930s court. The original building design called for new asphalt shingles with insulation, and single ply fully adhered PVC roofing with tapered insulation for the 1970 addition. Due to the cost of the project, Massachusetts code required additional accessibility elements to be designed as well.
Completed as part of a House Doctor contract.
