H&A Celebrates Trinity Early Childhood Center Groundbreaking
Dickinson, ND – Habeeb & Associates Architects' President, Steve Habeeb, AIA (far left), was joined by members of the Trinity Catholic Schools leadership community on March 28 for the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Early Childhood Center.
Habeeb & Associates Architects (H&A) began working with Trinity Catholic Schools in 2014 on a Facilities Master Plan. Construction has now begun on the ground-up Early Childhood Center on the same campus as the 2017 renovation and 110,000 square foot expansion of the Middle and High school.
The plan for the Early Childhood Center emerged from heartfelt discussions, the review of new information provided by the Master Plan, and site availability. The Early Childhood Center is intended to be ready for students in the Fall of 2022.
In addition to the new Early Childhood Center, an Elementary School will be constructed on the site adjacent to the High School and the on-site Parish. The new Elementary School is intended to alleviate the waitlist at the two elementary schools in town. Trinity Catholic Schools hopes that the addition of the new Elementary School will rejuvenate the Parish and stated that it “will allow us to right-size our elementary schools by providing the same facility capacity for K-4 as we have for grades 5-12”.
Following these two projects, a 7,000 square foot auxiliary gym and additional classrooms in the west wing of the High School are slated for completion by the Fall of 2023.
Following that, in Fall 2024, Trinity Catholic Schools will debut a new turf field complete with a six-lane, equal quadrant, 400-meter track, which will include spectator bleachers, a bus barn, and a press box. Adjacent to the high school entry, the students and staff will find a new contemplative garden. Make sure to follow H&A on social media to stay up to date on this exciting project.
